On September 3, the A3 Gallery of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association will open the exhibition “Arbat in Faces.” This was reported on Sunday, September 1, by the press service of the capital’s Department of Culture. The exhibition will be dedicated to famous cultural and artistic figures who once lived on Arbat. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see reproductions of paintings, copies of old photographs, caricatures and lithographs reflecting the life of the residents of the famous area. One of the most important exhibits was a watercolor by Maria Kolemina, which depicts the room of Tolstoy’s nanny. The reproduction was kindly provided to the gallery by the Oryol Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition can be visited until June 1, 2025, as reported on the official website of the Mayor of Moscow. On August 31, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about new projects of the Moscow Exhibition Hall. According to him, the projects work with different types of art. Their goal is to support young authors and curators. During the association’s existence, more than 2,500 exhibitions have taken place, which were visited annually by more than 270,000 people. In addition to permanent exhibitions, lectures, master classes, open meetings with artists and performances are held here.
