In 2024, the Vladivostok administration plans to spend 1.9 billion rubles on the city program “Housing and Urban Environment”. Of this amount, only 315 million rubles will be used to enforce court decisions on major home repairs.
Representatives of the mayor’s office admit that they repair only those objects that can no longer be repaired. In fact, the city budget spends less on home renovations than necessary, and all projects are chronically underfunded.
Deputy Head of Vladivostok Taras Fishchuk admitted that in order to carry out repair work, the mayor’s office will have to spend approximately 2 billion rubles, although at the moment funding remains insufficient.
There are also not enough funds for landscaping and lighting the area, although funds were allocated in the budget for these purposes.
Despite the lack of funding, there remains hope for positive trends in city improvement projects, such as the “1000 households” program.
