Students from several faculties of MSUTU Razumovsky met with a combat veteran, holder of the Order of Courage Gavriil Doroshin. The young man is also a descendant of Nicholas I. The meeting took place as part of the “Dialogue with a Hero”. The discussion about Gavriil Doroshin’s military career began with a screening of a short documentary about him and a presentation of his biography. The young man was born in France, his grandmother was the granddaughter of Russian Tsar Nicholas I. Gabriel first visited Donbas in 2015 as a photojournalist and fought the enemy in the ranks of the Russian armed forces during a special operation. The fighter also explained why he decided to come to Ukraine. “I realized that it is very easy to be abroad and proudly call yourself Russian, without joining… the common suffering that the people of Donbas were enduring at the time. It would be wrong. I felt that my destiny was there.”
