If there is a serious threat to Russia, its security and sovereignty, the country will use all the weapons in its arsenal. Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko spoke about this on the air of “Russia-1”. “Take our doctrine, it is clear and understandable. If there is a serious threat to our security and sovereignty, we, of course, will use our entire arsenal, all our capabilities,” she explained. Moreover, if there is no threat to the existence of the country, Russia will never use nuclear weapons, the speaker of the Federation Council emphasized. According to her, Western politicians constantly frighten their citizens with the alleged threat from Russia. Earlier, the leader of the British opposition Labor Party, Keir Starmer, said that if he comes to power, he will be ready to use nuclear weapons if circumstances require it. In turn, State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov said that Russia should point its nuclear weapons at the United States. This is exactly how he reacted to Washington’s decision to allow Ukraine to use American weapons for strikes.
