The Komi Republic is ready to host the Second Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games. This information was presented at a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and conduct of the Games. On November 17, it was chaired by Vladimir Uyba and the director of the International Delphic Committee, a member of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Vladimir Ponyavin, according to the press service of the head of Komi. The event will take place from November 20 to 24 in Syktyvkar. “We stand on the threshold of the Second Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games. This event is of great importance not only for the Komi Republic, but also for the entire country, as it is one of the largest cultural and artistic events. We have no other choice but to hold this event at the highest level and receive the best reviews from both participants and spectators, giving everyone only positive emotions,” said Vladimir Uyba. The Head of the Komi Republic emphasizes that from the very beginning of the games until the departure of the last participant, all services involved in the organization of the event must be in a state of special readiness and work around the clock. He also thanked everyone for their coordinated work in preparing for the Games: “We have taken the positive experience of the past Games and, if necessary, intensified our work. All participants are undergoing training at a high creative level. We have been sharing the experience of holding the Second Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games at various important events, including international ones. There are specific tasks related to safety. “We are directly interacting with the heads of the police authorities. We believe that the preparation has been successful,” said Vladimir Ponyavin. The Second Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games will be attended by about 600 young men and women aged 10 to 25, and the jury will include about 40 prominent figures in culture and science. More than 200 of the best representatives of the volunteer movement, who have already undergone special training in all areas of the headquarters’ work, will work at the event. The opening ceremony will be attended by creative teams from state, municipal and private cultural institutions of Syktyvkar, Ukhta, and Pechora. This includes the State Ensemble of Song and Dance of the Komi Republic “Asya Kya,” students of the Komi Republican College of Culture, soloists of the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, and the consolidated children’s choir of the Komi Republic. A platform for the closing ceremony and gala concert will be built with the determination of the winners of the Games in mind. Video content of the main events will be shown on the internet TV channel Delfik.TV, the video hosting platform RUTUBE, and the social network “Odnoklassniki,” which are event partners. Live broadcasts of the opening and closing ceremonies will take place on virtual concert venues created as part of the national project “Culture,” as well as on the television channel “Yurgan,” the platforms “Culture.RF,” “Match TV,” “IZ.RU,” “Orpheus,” and the Telegram messaging app. 11 state and municipal institutions of culture and education located in Syktyvkar, Ezhva district, and the settlement Vylgort in Syktyvdinsky district were used as venues for the competition and training. In addition, the police and regulatory authorities worked to ensure sanitary and epidemiological norms and safety measures. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic, 185 internal affairs personnel, National Guard soldiers and representatives of private security organizations will be in charge of maintaining public order. In advance, the police are inspecting the event venues and surrounding areas, including using technical means and police dogs. Patrol routes will be closer to places where people gather. Control and inspection activities will be organized at each location. Additional traffic police units will be on duty near the gathering places to prevent complications related to traffic and violations of traffic rules. Traffic inspectors will pay special attention to compliance with the rules of stopping and parking. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic urges citizens not to forget about vigilance and elementary safety rules. In case of suspicious objects, vehicles, or individuals, it is necessary to call the police at 02 (102) or the “hotline” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic at (8212) 21-66-35. If necessary, healthcare facilities are ready to promptly provide medical assistance to participants and guests of the event.
