In Vladivostok, at the main base of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation, a ritual was held to exclude the small anti-submarine ship “MPK-221” from the fleet.

During the ceremony, a solemn meeting was held, which was attended by the commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Viktor Liina, officers of the Pacific Fleet headquarters, and veterans of the ship and fleet. They remembered the glorious combat path of MPK-221. The commander of the Pacific Fleet thanked the crew for the worthy fulfillment of their assigned tasks while serving on the ship.

The commander of the small anti-submarine ship “MPK-221”, Captain 3rd Rank Pavel Kanunnikov, handed over the ship’s bell and flag for storage to the Military History Museum of the Fleet.

For reference: The ship was laid down on February 8, 1985 at the Khabarovsk Shipyard named after the 60th anniversary of the USSR as the lead ship of the Project 1124M series. The name on the tab is “MPK-200”. Launching took place on April 29, 1987. Entered service on December 30, 1987. Until February 1992 it was called “Primorsky Komsomolets”.
