GITIS announces funeral date for famous composer Grigory Auerbach

“The farewell to Grigory Lvovich Auerbach will take place on September 13. The farewell ceremony will take place at the GITIS Educational Theater,” the university reported. At 11 a.m., his relatives and fans will gather at 10 Bolshoy Gnezdnikovsky Lane. From there, two hours later, they will go to the Vostryakovskoye Cemetery. The memorial dinner will begin at 5 p.m. in the main building of the institute at 6 Maly Kislovsky Lane. Auerbach died on September 9. He taught at the audio drama department and was the author of a textbook on ensemble singing and music for 80 plays, ballets, operas, films, musicals, and television series.
