Since July 26, Russians have been able to enter airport business lounges using biometrics. According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, the new service was implemented with the support of VTB, the Center for Biometric Technologies, and NSPK. This service has already appeared in two Moscow airports, as well as in St. Petersburg and Kazan. Next up is Vladivostok. According to VTB’s head of digital business Nikita Chugunov, VTB’s business biometric system has become the first in Russia to begin serving not only its own clients, but also consumers of other banks and even foreigners.
