Frenchman arrested in Moscow worked for a Swiss NGO – Russia today

The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation announced the detention of a French citizen on June 6 in Moscow. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 3 of Art. 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill the obligation to submit documents for inclusion in the register of foreign agents, committed by a person collecting information in the field of military, military-technical activities of the Russian Federation). The accused faces up to five years in prison. The Investigative Committee did not specify the identity of the detainee. According to TASS and the French press, we are talking about 48-year-old Laurent Vinatier. According to Le Figaro, he worked for the Swiss non-governmental organization Humanitarian Dialogue and is a doctor and expert on Russia and Central Asia.
