Deputy Chief of the Border Guard Service of Northern Karelia in Finland, Samuli Murtonen, stated this. A group of 30 citizens arrived at the Russian-Finnish border on bicycles on Friday night and attempted to cross it, and one person even tried to pass by the border guards, according to the Finnish channel Yle. In connection with this, as Murtonen explained, “maximum gentle force” – a stream of gas – was used against this group of people who “did not obey commands.” It will be remembered that Finland will close several border crossings on the border with Russia.
