The heads of European states and governments of the European Union have declared the need to step up the delivery of military aid to Ukraine. This is stated in the final statement of the EU summit. The document explains that European countries should step up the supply of air defense systems, ammunition and missiles to Ukraine to protect its citizens and energy infrastructure. “The European Council calls on the Council of the EU to quickly end the aid measures under the European Peace Facility, which will further stimulate military support for Ukraine,” the statement says. Earlier, it was reported that European Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky signed an agreement in Brussels on mutual commitments between the EU and Ukraine in the field of security.
