Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hit a child who refused to kiss his hand. The footage was published by the DOKUZ 8 TV channel. The incident took place in the city of Rize, which is Erdogan’s hometown. In the video, a boy of about 6 or 7 years old ran up to Erdogan. The president extended his hand to the child’s face, but the boy looked at the head of state, not understanding what was wanted of him. Then Erdogan lightly slapped the child in the face and extended his hand again. As a result, the child did what was required of him. After that, another boy approached the president and hugged him. The latter should not have kissed the president’s hand. The teenager, whom Tamayev had previously hit, told the details of the incident.
