In Belgium, terminally ill people have the right to die voluntarily with the help of doctors (euthanasia), the girl decided to put an end to her suffering and signed a consent form for euthanasia. A doctor and two nurses were sent to her home to perform the procedure, but everything went wrong: the doctors did not take enough of the drugs used for voluntary death, so death did not occur. And they collided, as they did later. As they said, “in an unexpected and awkward situation,” the members of the medical team simply suffocated the dying patient with an ordinary pillow. Forensic experts who examined the body of the deceased recorded signs of suffocation and reported this to the police.
Doctors performed euthanasia, but the drug did not work, and the patient was simply suffocated with a pillow.
