The cargo ship Georgia C, transporting grain from Odessa to Romania under the flag of Liberia, hit a mine in the Black Sea, Ukrrudprom reports, citing four sources. It is clarified that the ship was sailing from the Odessa port of Yuzhny to the Romanian port of Constanta and was damaged on the high seas on November 16. “A source in the Ukrainian government said that the ship was probably blown up by a floating sea mine,” the publication writes. According to ship tracking analysis company MarineTraffic, the bulk carrier headed to Constanta on November 17. Earlier it became known that Russia sent the first of the promised free grain shipments to Africa.
