An exhibition of photographs by the married couple Alexey and Elena Dubrovin has opened in Kalach. It is located in the Yubileiny Palace of Culture. Elena Malchenko, the director of the exhibition center, told a RIA Voronezh correspondent about this on Thursday, July 25. The exhibition features 50 photographs that tell about the beauty of their native land, the people living in the city and villages of the region. The authors were especially successful in photographing landscapes of the city of Kalach, portraits of compatriots, and reportage photographs taken by them during various sports competitions held at the city stadium. Each photograph skillfully conveys the atmosphere of various corners of the city and the region. Thanks to these wonderful photographs, we have the opportunity to look at the city from a different angle,” Elena Malchenko shared her impressions. The exhibition will run until August 24 at the address: Kalach, Lenin Square, 1, Yubileiny Palace of Culture. (6+) Alexey Dubrovin was born in the city of Kalach in 1988. After school, I graduated from the Kalacheevsky College of Agricultural Mechanization. I became interested in photography back in my school years. My grandfather Alexey Petrukhnenko inspired me to do this, and he left many interesting and high-quality photographs about him. Alexey Afanasyevich worked as a turner at the Kalacheevsky Mechanical Plant, and devoted his free time to photography. He made some equipment for developing photographs himself. This equipment is now a family heirloom. His grandson followed in his footsteps. At first, I shot with a film camera, but then switched to an old FED-2, which allowed me to get a much better picture. This device required certain skills, which became the motivation for learning the basics of photography. Later, Alexey began shooting with a digital camera. He involved his wife Elena and daughter in photography. Elena was born in Kalach in 1984. I have been interested in photography for nine years. Together with my husband and daughter, I often go to photo plein airs. At first I shot with a point-and-shoot camera and a smartphone, then I switched to a digital SLR camera.
