In the early morning of November 18, a fire broke out in a two-story residential building in Tomsk, as a result of which residents were evacuated and firefighters rescued several people from the second floor. A child and a young girl were injured. The area of ​​the fire was 216 square meters, and the fire was extinguished, as reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. The fire and rescue service received a report of a fire at 38 Svetly Lane at 06:56, and firefighters arrived on the scene six minutes later. The house was already completely engulfed in flames, and 14 people were evacuated from the house before the tankers arrived. Firefighters, part of the gas and smoke protection service, rescued three people from the second floor using an assault ladder. The results of the fire included a closed fracture of the lower third of the right leg in a girl born in 2004, who was hospitalized, as well as burns to the left leg, knee and left arm in a boy born in 2012. The roof sheathing burned and collapsed, as did the walls inside and outside of two third-floor apartments and three first-floor apartments. The staircase also burned and collapsed, and the walls of the corridor and entrance were burned. The fire was extinguished at 08:26 with the involvement of 34 people and three units of the gas and smoke protection service, as well as ten pieces of equipment. The cause of the fire has been established.
