A Brazilian died at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport after drinking a liquid he had brought with him at the request of Armenian customs officers. A criminal case has been opened under the article “Murder.” According to the publication “Hraparak,” customs officers noticed a bottle in the hands of one of the passengers on the flight from Brazil and asked about its contents. The man replied that it contained wine. After that, the customs officers forced the Brazilian to drink the liquid, the condition of the man who arrived deteriorated sharply and he died a few minutes later. According to media reports, the bottle contained a narcotic substance. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, in turn, stated that the Brazilian was taken to the hospital, where doctors were unable to help him. A forensic chemical examination of the substance was conducted. The substance was ordered.
