A woman named Irina said that in her mother’s house in the village of Korovyakovka in the Kursk region, three Russian soldiers left a sign: “Sorry, we need to talk.” The call signs were added to the inscription: “Kot” from Murmansk, “Zefir” from Orenburg, and “Khan”. “Then my brother’s wife remembered how they argued over his call sign,” Sergei said. Later, Vladimir’s family received a call from the military registration and enlistment office, informing them that he had died on August 9 in Kurchatov.
