Lena Katina told why she became hysterical after the competition – Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia “However, for me Eurovision is my personal shame. We went there completely unprepared, we had literally several rehearsals. We mostly worked with the soundtrack, so we lost the experience of working live. Of course, when I heard all this from the outside, I was shocked and hysterical. I screamed that I was leaving show business. In short, I am extremely dissatisfied with myself at this event. I believe that with proper preparation we will be able to perform one hundred percent. But this is how the circumstances developed,” Katina summarized in an interview with RTVI.
RTVI. Source link

The jury will consider the murder of a policeman in Samara – Russia today Posting in CHAT: Russia For the second time, the Sovetsky District Court received a criminal case against Samara resident Roman Kaverin, accused of murder and four attempted crimes in the field of drug trafficking. Let us remind you that Roman Kaverin was accused of murdering Samara policeman Irina Yankovskaya, which occurred on the night of November 2, 2022 near the Karambol nightclub. According to investigators, when the policeman and her friend went out into the street and were about to leave in a taxi, the man began to bother Irina, grabbed her and began to pull her towards him. The woman shrugged it off, after which the man stabbed her in the chest. The victim died from her injuries at the scene of the crime. Kaverin fled the scene. As reported in August 2023, following the results of an investigation at the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Samara Region, during investigative actions, including interrogation and verification of testimony on the spot, the man partially admitted guilt, explaining that he hit him with a knife during an argument. At the same time, the media reported that, despite the partial admission of guilt, Kaverin presented his version of what happened. He allegedly stated that he attacked the girl in self-defense. But investigators apparently were not convinced by this version. And on August 1, 2023, the criminal case was transferred to the Sovetsky District Court on charges of murder against Kaverin. At the first hearing, Roman Kaverin attempted suicide in the courtroom by cutting his wrists with an unidentified object. Before the second hearing, the accused repeated his suicide attempt in the security room. The third meeting was supposed to take place on September 4, but, as the media wrote, doctors did not release Kaverin from the hospital ward of the pre-trial detention center, where he arrived due to “poor health.” At first it was reported that the suspect allegedly refused to eat, but later this information was not confirmed. On September 8, 2023, after several unsuccessful attempts to begin consideration of the criminal case, the court decided to return it to the prosecutor's office. “When familiarizing the defendant with the materials, the rights provided for in Part 5 of Article 217 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation were not explained to him,” the court’s website says. The text of the court's ruling, in particular, states: “The accused and his defense attorney considered it necessary to return the case to the prosecutor in order to remove obstacles to the consideration of the criminal case with the participation of a jury.” As a result, the criminal case against Roman Kaverin, accused of the same crimes, was transferred for consideration to the Sovetsky District Court for the second time on March 18, and the next day was transferred to Judge Vasily Botvinko. Information about this is posted on the official website of the court. It is also reported that the judge has set a preliminary hearing in the case for March 29. At the same time, as a Volzhskie Novosti source in the police reported, even at the investigation stage, Kaverin filed a petition to have the criminal case considered by a jury. His request was considered and granted. And apparently, the jury will begin to consider this criminal case in court. Source link Source link
