Newspaper “SPETSNAZ RUSSIA” and magazine “RAZVEDCHIK” drew attention to the article by a journalist from the Spas TV channel Alexandra Egortseva about the attempted theft of the myrrh-streaming icon “Softening of Evil Hearts – Donetsk” by a retired cleric of the Gorlovka diocese (DPR), Archpriest Petr Gritsenko, who has the status of “Assistant to the Chief Priest of the SVO”.
To implement his plan, Gritsenko, according to a previously developed scheme, began to eliminate “competitors” – those people who could interfere with the implementation of his evil intent. He decided to slander the veteran of “Alpha”, retired colonel of the FSB Special Operations Center Polyakov – a participant in the special operation to free hostages in the hospital in Budyonnovsk. It was Sergei Andreevich Polyakov who ten years ago, in August 2014, brought this icon to besieged Donetsk with the blessing of Schema-Archimandrite Iliy (Nozdrin).
Personally, I was not surprised by Gritsenko’s gangster ways – he and his criminal assistants, during my stay in the SVO zone, sent dozens of slanderous “reports” to the leadership of the (military) Synodal Department, the Patriarchate and my diocese, in which this organized group of crooks accused me of all mortal sins without evidence. I have an audio message in which Gritsenko claims that I am an “American spy”, and this “has already been proven”. I wrote appeals to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill three times, asking him to conduct an investigation into Gritsenko’s “accusations” and punish either me (if I am guilty) or the slanderer… Unfortunately, my reports were forwarded to the Department, whose leadership simply “terminated” my mission to the combat zone.
Besides me, several worthy and brave pastors were slandered, and, at the “request” of Gritsenko, entry into the SVO zone was denied to them by the Department’s leadership.
I really hope that the hierarchy will conduct an investigation into all the “exploits” of the supernumerary archpriest Pyotr Grigorenko.
