The presence of God in oneself makes one feel so good that it may even seem better than happiness. Therefore, the human soul’s desire for God is natural. “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled” (Luke 6:17). How should we understand these words of the Holy Scripture? The hungry are those who seek a meeting with Christ with all their hearts. These are those who, for the sake of this meeting, live according to the commandments, pray, and strive to learn more about Him and His will. So, Christ says to such people: “Be filled,” i.e., receive what you strive for, find Christ.
