In the LPR, FSB officers detained a former volunteer of the Aidar battalion – Russia today

A former militant of the Aidar battalion (recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and banned) was detained in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was reported on Tuesday, September 10, by RIA Novosti.

According to security forces, a resident of the Novoaidarsky district voluntarily joined the ranks of the unit and in 2017-2018 took part in military actions against civilians in the territories of the LPR and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) together with a number of other Nazi formations of Ukraine. A criminal case has been opened against the former militant for participation in a terrorist community.

On August 21, the LPR prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in the criminal case against 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen Maksym Klyuchka, who participated in the Aidar nationalist battalion (recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and banned).
