Promising development paths for the defense industry were discussed at a joint meeting with the acting governor of the Samara region, member of the bureau of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Vyacheslav Fedorishchev and heads of the leading industrial enterprises of the region. This was reported by the head of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, First Vice President of the Union Vladimir Gutenev, who also took part in the event. As the people’s deputy said, many important issues were raised during the meeting, including the formation of additional preferences for defense industry workers to solve the problems of personnel shortages and migration of specialists from the industry. Vladimir Gutenev recalled that it is necessary to attract another 160 thousand employees to the defense industry. Rostec’s subsidiary bank NOVIKOM also helps strengthen the human resources potential of the defense industry by offering the “Development” motivation program for employees of industrial enterprises. Participants in the motivation program – highly qualified specialists, winners of industry and internal competitions, mentors, engineers and employees entitled to social support – receive special service conditions at the bank. They can get a mortgage, consumer or educational loan from NOVIKOM with a reduced interest rate. The incentive program was developed by NOVIKOM jointly with the Rostec State Corporation in 2022 and has become one of the bank’s main social products. During this time, more than 150 companies have joined it, and the total amount of loans issued has exceeded five billion rubles. Financing of the state defense order was also discussed behind closed doors: advances on the state defense order, the possibility of transferring funds between accounts within one entrepreneur in separate accounts, further actions in the event of an increase in the key rate. . . “All proposals will be worked out in more detail at the expert sites of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade for submission in the form of specific decisions to the State Council Commission on Industry, headed by the Acting Governor of the Samara Region. Vyacheslav Fedorishchev,” the State Duma deputy explained. The head of the committee added that the commission meeting will be held in the near future.
