Posting in CHAT: Russia

On June 24, the European Union approved the 14th package of sanctions against Russia. On June 28, the EU announced a new sanctions regime. The EU Council has added 61 new organizations to the blacklist – they will be subject to restrictions on the export of duplicate goods and technologies. Some companies are located in China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and the UAE. An analogue of the SWIFT system, the Financial Message Transmission System (FTMS) of the Bank of Russia, came under EU sanctions. EU organizations operating outside Russia are prohibited from connecting to SPFS or its equivalents, and EU operators will now be prohibited from transacting with certain organizations using the system.
