The FSB in Yekaterinburg has identified a former FSIN employee who illegally wore a general’s uniform. Screenshot of a video from the GalileoRU YouTube channel. According to the Lampo Telegram channel, the man began his career in the penal system back in the Soviet years with positions in Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1. He worked as a chief, controller, inspector of the operational unit, and instructor-teacher. In 2018, he left his position as the head of the local bathhouse where convicts bathed. Several years later, his former colleagues were surprised to see him in a general’s uniform and with medals on his chest at events involving public figures and businessmen. It turned out that the man received the “lieutenant general” uniform from a private office called the “Academy of Security, Defense, and Law Enforcement Problems” (ABOP), which was liquidated back in 2008 for issuing fake ranks and certificates. After the FSB’s interest, the man had to remove the shoulder pads. He admitted that he ordered the uniform from a regular tailor shop, and now he faces administrative liability for illegally wearing a uniform with the symbols of state law enforcement agencies.
