In Ulan-Ude, large low-income families are exempt from paying property taxes

On June 26, deputies of the Ulan-Ude city council decided to exempt large families whose incomes are below the subsistence level from paying property taxes. This benefit applies to families with only one home. This decision comes into force from the date of its official publication on the legal information website of the city of Ulan-Ude. In this case, the budget will receive almost two million rubles less. “We have adopted a benefit for families with a per capita income below the subsistence level; losses to the budget each year will be small, and for families the new measure will be good support,” said the organization’s president, Dmitry Putilin; Committee on Financial-Economic Issues and Budget. This measure was introduced on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is especially symbolic that it was adopted in 2024, declared the Year of the Family in Russia.
