The Russian Society “Knowledge” has launched the fourth season of the country’s main educational award “Knowledge.Award”. Applications are accepted until September 30, 2024 on the official website. You can register yourself, projects, companies and other people who made a significant contribution to education in 2023-2024. The fourth season of the project has nineteen nominations, two of which are new. The nomination “For Contribution to the Preservation of Family Values” is dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia. Candidates can become teachers and participants in projects that help strengthen the institution of the family. The nomination “For Contribution to Education in the Field of Ecology and Tourism” is for those who develop the tourist image of Russian regions and the culture of hospitality, and increase the environmental responsibility of the population. Since 2023, the award has also been presented to foreigners in the nomination. “Foreign Teacher of the Year” and teenagers aged 12 to 17 in the nomination “Young Teacher of the Year” “The activities of last season’s candidates received the widest response: 120 thousand people voted for them, and the award.” The ceremony was watched by 13.4 million viewers. Dozens of journalists interviewed them and invited them to television. Some of the award winners were personally thanked by the heads of cities and regions. The teachers used this opportunity to draw attention to their professional field, share best practices and unite Russians to solve common problems. All applications will be assessed in absentia by an expert commission from among the partners of the Knowledge Society. The shortlist for the award will be formed by the Expert Council, which will include government officials, candidates and doctors of science, heads of companies, youth organizations and other specialists in their fields, studying public speaking in preparation for the in-person defense of their educational activities before the honorary jury. Previously, the jury included the head of the administration – press secretary of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov, Minister of Science and Education of the Russian Federation. RF Valery Falkov, General Director of the State Corporation Roscosmos Yuri Borisov, President, Chairman of the Board of PJSC Sberbank German Gref, Artistic Director – Director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov, People’s Artist of Russia Konstantin Khabensky, President of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” Mikhail Kovalchuk and others. The winners of the award in the “People’s Choice” nomination will be determined by open voting of listeners in a mini-application on the social network “VKontakte”. The winner of the partner nomination of the Movement of the First “Choice of the First” will be chosen by closed voting by the Federal Council of the First, which includes children and teenagers from all regions of the country. The winners of nineteen nominations will be announced at the award ceremony in 2025. In 2023, the Knowledge.Award Award collected about 18 thousand applications from 89 regions of Russia. Then the award in the field of education became international: teachers from 34 countries of the near and far abroad took part in it. “Every year, the award is becoming more and more popular and demonstrates the growing prestige of the teacher’s mission in our country. The number of applicants for the country’s main educational prize is increasing every year in the Samara Region. In 2023, 280 applications were submitted – almost three times more than in 2022. In 2021, Samara University named after Academician S.P. Korolev was shortlisted for the Znanie Prize in the nomination “For Active Educational Activities at the University”. The nomination was received by a set of career guidance and educational projects of the university: the Sputnik competition, the Universum competition, and the Ten to Minus Ninth competition.
