A woman died on a plane in Yekaterinburg. She became ill while boarding the flight, which was delayed for five hours. The Red Wings aircraft WZ-1103 was supposed to take off from Koltsovo airport to Tbilisi at 17:00, but for unknown reasons the flight was delayed. Boarding began around 22:00. Among the passengers was a woman in a wheelchair. According to eyewitnesses, she felt ill due to the long wait. Doctors were called onto the plane. They carried out resuscitation measures, including cardiac massage, but this did not save the woman – she died. The press service of Koltsovo airport confirmed this incident: “After landing, the crew reported to the airport that one of the passengers had become ill. Airline representatives reported at the airport that one of the passengers fell ill. Upon arrival on board, the first aid station of the airport complex found the woman unconscious and began resuscitation measures. An ambulance was also called to the scene, but, unfortunately, the efforts of the doctors did not bring results.” As a result, the Red Wings plane took off for Tbilisi at 23:53.
