The Voronezh region ranked among the top regions in terms of growth in mortgage lending volumes

In March 2024, 1.9 thousand mortgage loans were issued in the Voronezh region for a total amount of 6.79 billion rubles. Compared to the previous month, the number of loans issued increased by 26%, and the volume – by 36%. The Voronezh region entered the top three growth regions in terms of mortgage lending volumes, along with the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (+42%) and the Orenburg region (+38%). The average size of a mortgage loan in the region in March 2024 was 3.57 million rubles, the average loan term was 22 years and 11 months. This was reported by the press service of the United Credit Bureau (UCB) on Thursday, May 2. In terms of the volume of mortgage lending in March 2024, the Voronezh region took 19th place in the ranking of regions. The largest volume was recorded in Moscow (9.92 thousand loans issued for a total amount of 72.69 billion rubles), the Moscow region (7.85 thousand loans issued for a total amount of 43.63 billion rubles) and St. Petersburg (6 .05 thousand loans were issued for a total amount of 31.74 billion rubles). At the same time, the largest increase in the number of mortgage loans compared to February 2024 was recorded in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (+41%), Orenburg Region (+33%) and St. Petersburg (+31%). The average size of a mortgage loan in the regions was heterogeneous. Chechnya showed the greatest increase – 40%. The largest decrease was noted in Ingushetia (-22%). At the same time, Ingushetia had the longest mortgage lending – 27 years and 8 months. In Russia as a whole, in March 2024, the number of new mortgage loans increased by 10%, and volumes by 15%. In March, 126.22 thousand loans were issued for a total amount of 510.83 billion rubles. However, compared to March 2023, the number of loans issued decreased by 39%, and loan volumes decreased by 36%. At the same time, over the month the average mortgage size increased by 4% – to 4.05 million rubles, and the annual growth was 6%. The average mortgage term per year increased by 2 years and 1 month – to 22 years and 5 months. Earlier, RIA Voronezh reported that in the regional center the share of overdue debt of the population to financial and credit organizations has decreased. As of March 1, 2024, it was 3.97%.
