The issue of stopping trolleybus traffic in Taganrog is very painful for many citizens. We have written about the sad fate of this type of transport more than once, but hope for its revival still lived in the hearts of the residents of Taganrozh. A few months ago, the rose-colored glasses were finally taken off when, in an interview with Dmitry Belikov, who at that time held the position of deputy head of the administration for transport, it was stated that it was almost impossible to restore the trolleybus and that for this it was necessary to find funding in the amount of 300 million rubles. The residents of Taganrozh did not give up. At the end of April 2024, they sent a collective complaint addressed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, and asked the Central Election Commission of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to conduct an internal investigation and initiate a criminal case into the destruction of trolleybus traffic in Taganrog, as well as to take measures for its speedy restoration (hereinafter – text of the collective complaint on 4 sheets). The appeal to the chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee was forced, since earlier in February and March 2024, three appeals were sent to the investigative director of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Rostov region on the topic of “suppressing criminal actions to destroy trolleybus lines in the city of Taganrog” and were ignored. Here is an excerpt from the collective complaint of Taganrog residents to the Investigative Committee of Russia: “…We ask you and the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia: 1. Conduct an internal audit of the Investigative Committee for the city of Taganrog of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Rostov Region – we ask you to dismiss the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city from the Investigative Committee of Russia and its deputy A.V. Trufanov for providing citizens with an answer with absolutely false information “about the wear and tear” of trolleybuses and contact networks, as well as for an indifferent attitude towards crimes committed against the state and society. 2. Force the Investigative Director of Russia to; The Rostov region initiated a criminal trial to investigate crimes related to the closure and destruction of trolleybus traffic in the city of Taganrog; 3. Take measures to quickly restore trolleybus traffic in Taganrog; 4.
