In January, the indexation of insurance pensions was completed, which entailed an increase in pensions for non-working pensioners by 7.5%. Now the time has come for other types of pensions. In April it is planned to indicate all types of social pensions, including old-age pensions, survivors’ pensions and disability pensions. It is planned to maintain the rate of indexation at the level of January indicators, but in the coming years an even more significant increase in pension indexation is expected at the level of 9.5%, and after this year an increase of 10.3%. expected. This increase will be associated with an increase in the cost of living, since the size of social pensions depends on this indicator. The next increase in pensions will be one of the largest in recent times. In previous years, the size of social pensions increased slightly, and indexation in 2017 was only 1.5%. Therefore, the new increase will be one of the most significant in a long time, and the average size of pension payments, according to the plans of the Ministry of Labor, will increase to 15 thousand rubles.
