The Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory satisfied the multibillion-dollar claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia against businessman Dmitry Dremlyuga and other defendants for compensation of damages in favor of the state for the illegal extraction of aquatic biological resources, TASS reports. The amount of advertising exceeded 17.4 billion rubles. “Take Dmitry from Dremlyuga <...> [и других физических и юридических лиц] in favor of the Russian Federation 17.4 billion rubles of damage caused to aquatic biological resources,” the agency quotes the court decision. Earlier it was reported that eight fishing companies and one taxi operator in the Far East became the property of the Federal Property Management Agency. All companies were associated with the “crab kings” Dmitry Pashov, Oleg Kan and Dmitry Dremlyuga. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation presented demands for a change of owner. Kan, Pashov, Dremlyuga and other members of the criminal group exported thousands of tons of Far Eastern crab abroad.
