On Wednesday, May 1, at about 16:25, the passenger motor ship “Sergey Kuchkin”, plying the route Samara – Nizhny Novgorod, ran aground at the exit of lock No. 22 on the Volga River in the Tolyatti region, Volzhsky Transport reports. The prosecutor’s office reported this. The monitoring agency added that the ship was launched by the Shlyuzovaya-33 tugboat at 17:00 and sent to berth No. 3 of the Togliatti river station. “There were 216 passengers and 96 crew members on the ship. The ship was not damaged, there were no casualties,” the Volzhsky Transport Prosecutor emphasized.
