The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced the Ukrainian militant who shot 16 civilians of Mariupol to 22 years in a maximum security colony, the press service of the DPR prosecutor’s office reported.
“The 25-year-old driver of the 36th separate marine brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine, Denis Rashplya, was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons), Part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons), Part 1 of Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (cruel treatment of civilians in occupied territory),” the message says.
The terrorist, while at combat positions in Mariupol from February to April 2022, on the orders of his commander, shot 25 civilians with a machine gun, 16 of whom died.
“All the victims were civilians not participating in hostilities,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
